Well, it's kind of like... if you can't be subtle, then, you can be so over the top that no one's going to believe it...

If I summon my AU Weapon and blow out the walls, and you turn into a monster, and some other people can also do some really big, really noisy things, we can make so much of a crazy mess that no one's going to even know where to start figuring out what happened here. And then if we can all change back really quickly, no one will believe we did it even if they do catch us.

... The other Hijikata had a good point. If we do too much damage to the building, we'll just crush the people stuck in here.
