Okay, if there's a big climb-the-mountain fest going on, I have a very important question, before we split the party and possibly end up scattered across a country again.

How many folks can do remote portals, and can someone explain the trick to me? Last thing we need's another Bando where there's only two people who can do the thing and we need to regroup in a hurry.

I think I'll stick to the other version, thanks. Doesn't mean you won't find any takers, though.

Working on the long-distance portals thing, but hopefully there's more than two people who can already do the thing, this time.

I shouldn't have too much difficulty mastering the skill, provided someone can give an explanation. Even without it might be possible, although that would run the risk of taking much longer.

[And really, why expend the effort on trial and error if someone can just explain how it's done?]

[Pretty much what Claudia's figuring. That and raising awareness that it's possible before they find themselves in a desperate pinch.]

Well, not everyone's making the attempt. Who that leaves in charge I have no damn idea, but some of the infiltrators are worried about blasphemy and not all of us are cut out for mountaineering.

Fair enough! A small warning then. It may amount to nothing, but my cats have heard whispers of further conquest from the Heraclides. Considering previous discussions, I'm sure there are those among us who would wish to nip such a thing in the bud.

Somehow I doubt we're here to stick our noses into human politics as such, but that probably won't help matters if it goes unchecked, no.

With so many off attempting to be heroes, it unfortunately gives them an excellent opportunity. That is if they can organize themselves.

[There's an interesting little undertone at heroes. A little fondly exasperated, perhaps.]

My cats and I will continue listening. If there's anyone you would like to point us at, I'm sure we can arrange a few tails. If something a little more visible is needed, I'm claiming to be a son and emissary of Bastet.

There's worse cover stories than 'related to cat goddess,' that's for sure.

I wouldn't know if anyone in particular needs a kitty trail. Someone else might have a better idea.

It saves me the strain of casting more illusions than absolutely necessary.

And if they do, I pray they're listening in. A little direction can only improve our efforts.
