... Right, so I have some news. Sara - the Admiral - let me in on some information and I spilled a bit of what we know already in the interest of getting her to trust me.

She doesn't know much, but apparently the disappearance and not death of Consort Faline ahn-Alfor was a casus belli for the war. She suspects Dara might be hiding the consort.

... And the Phileon has a biological core, so she may be either dead or exposed to X. Pression.

The EDSF doesn't think that Aurigans can develop X. Pression, or at least they definitely didn't at the time of the meeting that kicked off this war. She suspects AEGIS of wrongdoing if it wasn't an accident. I told her I have some contacts that might be able to do some digging. She asked to meet them if I think it's worth the risk - which obviously I don't, clearly none of you are fighters and all of you are just hackers, right?

[The sarcasm is real.]

But the order to get digging comes from the Admiral herself, so I think we should do just that.

Now if you'll excuse me I have a bunch of injuries to sleep off. If I find one of you was the one who double-missiled my Tengu I'm gonna kick your ass.

Yeah, about that core... it's sapient. She's trapped, confused, not sure if she's dreaming or not, and very, very sad.

I couldn't really do a deeper perspective read on her because the nature of the restraints being used on her make it hard for her to think - and she is being restrained; that much is clear - but I will note that she's dreaming of flowers, fire, and "a girl she loved a lifetime ago."

As much as I, of all people, don’t mind murder, perhaps we should infiltrate before killing a possible source of information?

Hmph. Sento might remember his Piece's story when he wakes back up in Liminal Space, but I suppose a different route would let us continue actually using the "doctor"'s authority on the game board.
