It might be that they're just really paranoid and worried about the things they don't know about and knowing what everyone's talking about all the time makes them feel better. The old man who made me into a vampire was like that. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that was why.

And that's the problem. It's hard to know who can do that and who can't because it's not the kind of thing people like to admit they can do. I don't know if I can do it. I've never tried. You and me can test it with you and another but if I can't I don't know if it will be because I can't snoop or because you can do it already.
