Some stupid fashions, some silly ideas about new technologies popping up. But you get that at any time, really. It's just that the outlandish stuff tends to be what you remember, and so people forget that most of the time, people were just going about their lives as normal.

That's what this place is like - it's like someone's memory of the 90s, rather than what the 90s were actually like.
