If that shadow thing is around... I think I know who it is. Just... don't go near him. I don't want him to hurt anyone.

Meanwhile, I can help out. Is your gear enchanted somehow? I'd... prefer not to beat the ghosts down if at all possible.
... Also if someone gets possessed by a ghost for some reason, yell for me. I can do something about that.
