That's really cool but like, it's also kind of really dawning on me. Back home I was always going to be a C-lister at best, but being a traveler means I have the potential to get pretty dang powerful doesn't it?

So like. What kind of crazy stuff can you do with liminal manipulation? Or the psychic stuff? Can you teach me? I want to be stronger. I want to be someone who rescues people, not someone who gets rescued. Not combat training, I've got that under control. I mean freaky super power stuff.

I can talk to people anywhere, which is cool, but any of us can do that. I'm pretty good at shielding my thoughts from others, I think, and I can show people what I'm seeing. But like, beyond that I don't even really know what other people CAN do with this power.

If protecting other people is something you're interested in, shielding entire conversations instead of just your half is the next logical step. You can also use the network to find people or help them work through trauma faster.

There's also contacting the other side of a walkabout divide - or sometimes bridging a gap between two sides of the same jaunt, like Harrogate apparently had - or de-infiltrating people, but those have some pretty intrusive starting points that I don't teach. [Naoki won't deny that the end products are useful, but if people want to learn how to spy they can do it on their own time.]

Gotta know how to make goo first. Still haven't figured out how I got there, but Thorne's template thing works too.

She said you need t'be able to change people's clothes around first, though, and it sounds like you're still workin' on it.

I mainly just didn't want people reading my mind. That's creepy.

But uh, locating people telepathically sounds pretty useful.

Fire control, colour magic, and acrobatics wouldn't hurt your chances in a fight. I can run you through any of them easily enough, but how well you manage them will be up to how much training you're willing to put in.

Don't limit yourself to only one teacher, or you'll find yourself learning from their bad habits.

Colour Magic is one of the systems that was attained by Travelers in a prior Jaunt. It was before my time, but the library has enough information to pursue the paths regardless.

If you don't already have the ability to wield magic, we'll have to start there first. Once you've mastered a few cantrips, you can choose which Colour to pursue. They each have their benefits - deciding on which path to take may take some time, and you'll want to dedicate your focus to it. Finding out which cantrips fit you best should help you in figuring out which Colour would match you best. Even then, it's a difficult choice...

It's a bit less spectacular than magic. [for a ninja, maybe.] I'm... not sure on the specifics, but it seems to also be a holdover from a previous Jaunt. You use your strength of will to control or create fire; there's little more to it than that. It's tiring, but relatively simple to learn.
