I've been doing some of that. Didn't stay too long on the first two islands, but the future island - the rocky one with the patches of blueish fire - was interesting.
There's a trick some people could do before Moebius, where you could stream one kind of sensory input onto the network and switch it to another. I think I've got the hang of that again, because I tried it with what I was seeing on the third island and I got some really weird impressions. The rock itself sounds like ocean waves and feels like a quilt of all things. The fire, on the other hand, sounds like a staticky, wordless song, and feels like the wind from an oscillating fan. And whatever dreams they originate from are really, really alien.
