I know the Trumps sometimes use Liminal Space to send us messages, but I'm not at all sure what this one means. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think the last one meant that the Hierophant, Fortune, Temperance, and the Star are dead.

... That's just a little worrying. If that's true, does that mean the Trumps are killing each other off, or something else is?

Also, does that mean they're marking Travelers as their private soldiers... or as their potential replacements?

I don't really have any information suggesting one or the other.

Mm. We need more information but trying to get anything out of the Trumps is worse than pulling teeth.

The rumor around the masquerade suggested that the Trumps are not interested in soldiers as such. They claimed that they would never betray the Travelers, but it seemed as though they did not have a clear concept of what "betrayal" would mean to different people.

[ Alcuin's mental voice is very quiet and while it's not on a private line, it's more like a murmur in passing than an invitation to prolonged conversation. ]

I spoke of rumor and whispers. Conversation overheard. If they were not on the dance floor, I think it likely that their representatives were. The Sun, and the Moon.

Oh, those two. I didn't talk to them myself - they seemed pretty busy.

Mm. They were never without a partner for long if they could help it. They had a purpose in being there. The Moon said once that "all loyalties are ambiguous". Whether that outlook holds for all of them or simply for them, I dare not venture a guess.

Dangerous either way... Has a Trump been present at every Jaunt?

[willyousee]

Not as far as I am aware. We're not even certain if every Jaunt has had a Trump as patron, as I understand it. I have been an infiltrator host for many of my Jaunts and unable to look into that kind of information. Nor am I familiar enough with the themes of the Major Arcana of the Tarot to be able to find the patterns as of yet - a problem I am remedying as quickly as may be.
