For those new to Traveling, that means these people have vanished to dungeons or walkabouts - more simply, at present, they are no longer Traveling with us. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

Hm. I have a question. Would it be acceptable to add someone who appeared in a Dungeon and vanished on our return to Liminal Space? Not someone from my world, exactly, but someone who originated in a pocket of Liminal Space but could not join us properly?

...Do you know that they were actually present as themselves, and as a Traveler, and not just an aspect of the dungeon?

I can't see any way to determine that for sure. I mean, she was certainly there because of the Dungeon, as were a couple of other friends of mine, but how does one tell the difference?

Not intentionally. But people do disappear regularly. Most often to dungeons, which appear some time later - anywhere between the next day to years later - where we have to go in to rescue them.

How... uh, how are you able to tell for sure?

I can use the network to detect people connected to it. I've checked for everyone at least once a day for the past week.

...It's not one hundred percent, but it's as close as I can come. Unless they're more than 100 miles away or have been suppressing the network for more than a week, they're nowhere to be found.

If they were there because of the dungeon, it seems likely they weren't actually present. I've never encountered anyone appearing from a dungeon that wasn't theirs.

I can add her to the list if you really want me to? I'm not sure what good it would do, if nobody has seen her as I Traveler. [Since that is the point of the list, to inform people of who they've lost.] But I don't mind.

Not very hard, as these things go. Although working up a good range takes a while. When I started, I could only manage about a quarter of a mile.

Power for things like that usually takes more time, yeah! A quarter of a mile isn't a bad start... could you sort of... turn it on, and then just move around really fast, if you wanted to scan everything, maybe?

[A shrug.] Nobody's ever succeeded. At least, nobody who was able to let anyone know that's what they were doing, before or after the fact.

Be careful. I wouldn't broadcast what you're doing too loudly - the Arcana see and hear a lot more we'd like.

You can. I used to have to walk through liminal space for days at a time before I could be sure I'd gotten everyone. But if you're just looking for one person, you could do that pretty effectively.

It's no secret to them many of us would like out. I just mean, if you get too close to actually succeeding, and they know exactly what you're doing, it's possible they could decide to take action to prevent that.

And no, the list is public. I would assume they already know it.

It's not that it was that big, though I think they did usually used to be bigger before we figured out room creation. I just... it's a lot of people to check for. And making sure you haven't missed anyone, when you have to go through about a hundred people every couple hundred steps, when everyone's moving around...

And, well. I was being rather thorough, too. I, I would never want to mistakenly report someone missing.
