For those who joined us last time we were in Liminal Space, that was a Jaunt. We go in, blend in as well as we can [and some irritation bleeds into her "voice" because THAT didn't happen] do whatever we're supposed to do, and get called back here. To "help" with the investigation, some of us think we're locals of that world for the duration of the Jaunt. Not all Jaunts will be like this, so be ready for anything when we have another one. But the basics are the same-- do what you can, don't give up.

For those who just joined us, you'll know what I'm talking about sooner or later. It's probably best for now to get used to the psychic network, because it will be very useful to you during a Jaunt. Find a veteran traveler who can help. Except for Garrett-- he'd sooner insult you than give you the time of day.

If you have questions for me specifically and you want to keep it off the network, I'm over at the over-elaborate wedding cake. Otherwise, using the network is fine.

I only saw him at a distance, or heard him on the network. But his voice was distinct, and he's no longer answering.

Eleven gone. More than usual... but we had more new faces than usual last time, and we do again. We should expect this.

[Not that he sounds happy or even complacent about it - he says it more like a grievance or recrimination.]

I have a lot of shields in my personal armory. [You know. With her magical girl changing powers and personal hammerspace.] I'd let you choose which one you'd prefer getting smashed over the head with.

Sometimes they're just one and the same. It's been going on a while-- if you want to see people who have been around longer than I have, look for Joscelin or Remy. They've been doing this the longest out of all of us.

We get sent to another world to accomplish a task. [She makes it sound so simple...]

My apologies, but I do not believe I could be considered the Herculean type.

I mean with supplies. We... struggled, last time, with scarcity, and there's only one of him to provide us with water.

Then I'll just wait and hear from the others.

Got it. [She takes it to mean that they've been here since the beginning, which means...] Has no one ever passed the test?

I am doing my best to try to learn what he knows, that I may help us as well. Magic is not so permanent in Liminal Space, though I can make every attempt to melt ice and give us water. Beyond that, I can do little else.

But I wish to learn so this does not happen again.

Because he'll listen to damn near anyone before he listens to me.

There is no test.

Honestly, I would do the same-- but I don't know where the water I create comes from, so it's not safe. And right now, I'd rather get back what Liminal Space had taken away from me. [Which is her teleportation, really.]

There could be a number of reasons why you would give a locations, no matter the situation at hand. But I'm sure many are thankful none the less.
