We spoke onset last week, he seemed interested in my opinions on the fightscene choreography and as the Director I though he may have some insight into the situation with the play.

He asked me to dinner in order to speak more and I agreed. I thought this night would be to speak of the movie!

I am used to being shorter than most. Elezen tend to be six fulms and Roegadyn tend not to stand shorter than six fulms and eleven ilms.

...Is there a usual way people from Earth tackle this situation in which I have found myself? Because I have never been on a date before, let alone in a place with different customs.

Depends on how the dinner goes. If he's being a gentleman, just let it happen. There's like a ninety percent chance this will just be dinner, since it's a first date. And then you can tease him about it when we're all back in Liminal Space afterwards. [Gil has priorities.]

If he's being weird or creepy or unpleasant, feel free to walk. Either way, you should tell him tomorrow that it was really sweet of him, but you're not looking for anyone to date right now. Especially since we're only here for a couple more weeks.

I mean, if you were enjoying the dinner before it got Weird, you gotta weigh up whether quitting in the middle of it is worth trying to explain that it's too weird because you think this local looks like the guy who's fucking your brother.

Or you could not explain that, but like. People like knowing roughly why you don't wanna do something with them.
