We seem to have found ourselves in the Afterlife, or some form of it. But where precisely, I don't know. Angels and demons in the same place... it's unheard of, in the stories of my time.

For those new Travelers, welcome to your first Jaunt. I am sorry it is not more hospitable... if anyone needs better clothes or any supplies, I would be happy to assist, if only I can manage to disperse this crowd-- Dio mio, this crowd! This is ridiculous!

I have not been hurt, although there have been some acts of violence around me. The riots are still in full force. I have calmed a few, but not nearly enough to make much of an impact.

They are names of human cities, in my world. One is surrounded by lush farmland... the other was built over canals, so it contains many bridges above to travel on foot, or one can use a gondola to travel by the water.

That is what we Travelers do. We help each other. Working together is the only way we can successfully complete these Jaunts... and perhaps find our way home, some day soon.

More likely to be freer with information and access than they would be to an unknown. Caution will need to be exercised of course, but it is certainly something beneficial.

I can tell you what I know from my world. Sin is a violation of God's will, whether consciously or unconsciously... at least, according to il Vaticano. If this is anything like Dante's Purgatorio, then the Seven Deadly Sins will be the likeliest choices. Pride, the most grave... Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony... and Lust, the least grave of the seven sins.

In contrast, there are also Seven Heavenly Virtues, these sins' opposites. Humility, linked to Pride... Kindness to Envy, Patience to Wrath, Diligence to Sloth, Charity to Greed, Temperance to Gluttony, and Chastity to Lust.

... but that they are considered currency here is worrisome. Be careful if someone asks for any of these. You could be offering more of yourself than you bargained for.

It seems to depend on who you're dealing with. From what I've been told, Angels take Sins, Demons take Virtues, Sithen take both, and Peregrines take blood. With Immortali, I guess it varies.

To explain: I have a spell, Orange Magic specifically, that allows me to swap places with someone as if we teleported into each other's locations, simultaneously, and then cast illusions of each other on ourselves, simultaneously. Using that, I can theoretically escape from any crowd, at least until they discover the trick. You're a genius!

But the entire point is to make our paintings, sculptures, all works of art authentic to real life, no matter how fantastical the subject might be. Inaccuracy is a failure on the part of the artist.
