The question is whether they blame us for their defeat, or simply see us as tools of the Trumps. Beings on this level... they may see us as nothing more than a sword in the hands of their enemy. [And, of course, you don't blame a sword when it injures you - though you may still attempt to break it, or take it away from the wielder.]
