Okay, I need people to repeatedly remind me that it would be a bad idea to completely overthrow the monarchy even if both potential heirs are completely untrustworthy.

Janeta's not in favour of either of them at this point either.

He's already formally abdicated. These aren't the typical circumstances for a regency, but I think we left typical behind when someone summoned the entire ocean.

I think he would do it. He at least cares most about what's best for Albion.

I don't think the possible heirs don't care so much as they're not being very responsible about how they care. Admittedly, considering a bribe from a foreign power isn't a good look, but it doesn't make them apathetic either.
