Presumably, if he hadn't grown a conscience, he wouldn't be down here for us to have the option in the first place. And if he had and they hadn't botched getting rid of him somehow, they'd just have someone else in place to do the dirty work.

I didn't expect you to have all the answers - that would be a lot to ask anyone to keep in their head, and besides, how would you have been able to use that information? I'm pretty sure I won't like whatever comes out if and when restoration's made available, but whether I'll like it isn't the point.
