[One Randolph Lyall is looking for somebody, and he is looking really hard. Sorry, everybody whose minds he just unintentionally-slash-intentionally projected into, friends and strangers and brand new people.... Usually he has better control than this, keeping his thoughts to himself or to whomever he's directly aiming them at, but he's getting increasingly panicked, and a wider mental net simply must be thrown.]

[Not this person. Obviously. There's a little frustration in what tone comes through in the response.]

Sorry, I'm just looking for him. He usually responds right away but I guess I can't-- find his mind, exactly. He's from my world, he came with me here. He's my boyfriend.

[It always sounds so dumb to say the word, but it comes out with no hesitation at all, right now. Lyall is too unsettled right now to care how dumb it sounds.]

So he's gone missing? That doesn't sound good.

[No judgment whatsoever about the 'boyfriend' part. Kanji would have to bean Naoki with whatever blunt object he could get his hands on.]

Does this sort of thing happen often? People going missing? How does one find them again?

[He's not going to go to the logical conclusion of that, where Nick is potentially just gone. Surely they can just find him again, in the mess that is liminal space.]

I don't know, but try to calm down. We won't find any answers by panicking.

Souji-san and Yua both mentioned being trapped in dungeons before, but I don't know how that works.

I wish people would stop saying that. Sometimes a little panic is both useful and warranted.

[A lot of panic isn't, of course, but he's not quite there yet.]

So he might be in a dungeon?

I'm used to corralling Kanji. That's why I said 'try.' [No seriously, Naoto turned up on the Midnight Channel and Naoki called Kanji to talk him out of diving headfirst into the TV right then.]

I don't know. Maybe, maybe he got sent home, I have no idea.

I will at least promise not to start running around aimlessly. Any panic I have will be used constructively.

Does that happen? Do people actually go home? I haven't heard anyone say as such, but I've been wondering.

To keep looking? I'm going to try, at least. Not that "looking" does much good, right now. You don't think it's possible he could have been left behind in the Jaunt, do you?

[Because that just sounds terrible. Especially as Zeviel's memory seems to paint Nick as a demon.]

[And at least he doesn't pester the boy with more questions he can't answer? He's usually the one trying to help out the younger set, instead of seeking help with them, but usually he's not missing someone he's been considering his other half for a long time.]
