I'm not surprised they're using proxies, or at least that this one in particular did. [Who knows, maybe he can't leave wherever he is.]

But what they look like varies. It might depend on which worlds they show up in. The ones on the Grid weren't that different, and I don't know if anyone's been able to work out who the one in Questing Country was. I think all the other appearances were before I got pulled into this.

They don't always show up, and when they do I think it's typically one or two at a time. The Grid was... weird. In any case, they pick the worlds we get tossed into, and when they turn up, they look for people in the group that they like.

Entirely fair. There's a reason I'm not telling anyone where I found him - if they want to try shitstirring on that level, they can put in the legwork themselves. [He's also pretty sure they won't have much luck.] It's better to let people know one's around, though, so they can avoid it if they'd rather.

They're the ones with the power. Promise or not, ability to get back to Liminal Space on our own or not, we don't know how to get ourselves home or at least half this group probably wouldn't still be around.

Besides, if they're not directing us, I don't want to know who would fill that power vacuum.

Maybe, maybe not. [Small accidents happen all the time. If no one does anything, they turn into big disasters. Leaving a valve open, maybe, and then when someone lights a match...] But what about his buddies, if he brought 'em? What kind of thing do they do, when they're about?

[siiiiiiigh.] I have no goddamn idea. My best guess is a lot of the group thinks they're gearing up for some kind of war and intend to pit us against each other. Naoto doesn't see it that way and I'm inclined to agree with her. The only outright hostile Trump I've heard about so far is Devil, and that... well, that makes sense.

That would depend on which one was around, but fortunately this doesn't seem like the kind of place Devil would like much. In general, the same thing, though.
