It is likely that it's an effect of the storm, then - though I am not certain if that's any more comforting than a localized phenomenon resulting from some malfunction aboard the ship. Still, it may be worth keeping track of where you are when you exerience the hallucinations, in case a pattern becomes clear with more data. If nothing else, it might tell us where the tachyon contamination is most likely to pose a problem.

It is possible you're merely seeing creatures that are similar in appearance - we have encountered winged humanoids before, on a previous Jaunt - but if it is them, much of their technology appeared to respond to sound and pressure, and heavily featured holographic displays.
