[Early during the last mingle]

Hey, so. I've got a room full of refugees here in liminal space. Most of 'em don't even look like they're infiltrators, though some of 'em are. Don't know if we've got any idea what to do with 'em in here.

Is Corona fixed? Is there room on the Empress for a couple dozen more folk? Or should I keep 'em here a while longer?

I don't believe there has been word from the Corona since the evacuation. If there are portals opening onto it, it may be worthwhile to send a squad to check on its status, in case the anomaly that allowed the ships to maintain comm contact was reversed when the connection was closed.

It would be a risk. If the ship has been destroyed, or if the portal's end point does not accound for its speed, they might find themselves stepping out into the vacuum of space. If you can create space-rated equipment and have someone on hand who can open a portal centered on a person, it would make things much safer.

Only in that it would compensate for lack of familiarity with the place as it currently is, and may be more reliable. I do not know if anyone has had occasion to open a portal on a moving target before.

I am not overly skilled with portals myself, but if someone on the crew you send is amenable, I can monitor their situation and inform someone standing by if they need a quick extraction.
