A few days into the Jaunt

So, this is my first time in a situation like this so I wanted to ask some advice.

How do you cope when the most important person in your life is an infiltrator? Do you try to keep an eye on them or leave then be?

[ She wants more photos of everyone from home, who's here! ...And that'd be great, yes. ]

Any part of my gear would work, I guess, I doubt it'd get any unfixable damage... Though creating it shouldn't be a problem either.

It wouldn't get damaged at all, because the first phase is to hold onto a piece of metal without holding onto it, by imagining that the metal is a part of you. I had it easy, since I had two metallic limbs for years and still have one.

[ ...Well, that sounds way too easy considering she uses that gear like it's an extension of her limbs / body rather than some machine. ]

Well then. Back to my room.

[ So much walking between rooms. Whatever. She's got her gear hidden under her bed, with the blades here and there all over the room. She won't need to do that kind of hiding thing soon, huh? Or she can still do it, but she'll have other ways to surprise possible surprise attackers too.

But she doesn't want to reveal the blades thing to him. ...So instead of getting that gear from under her bed, she lets it stay hidden under there. Holding onto a piece of metal without holding it, huh? Sure, she can do that.

Ah, come to think of it... She does have more metal with her, doesn't she? Mikasa puts her hand into her pocket, pulls out a bottle of some weird liquid and hands that to Ed. Then she hands the weird metal plate to him too. ]

Hold those for a bit.

[She doesn't trust strange metallic liquids to not fuck this up if they're so near her... Even though she trusts her skills.

It's something for Ed to keep his mind busy, while Mikasa focuses on looking at her bed and reaches out a hand. Some things under there start making metallic sounds, light at first and somewhat less light before there's silence for a moment.

Mikasa stays calm, not letting him see how she's internally cursing on not focusing on just one, single blade at first. Well, she knows to focus better after that, still staring at the same point. It almost worked, it'd have worked if she had just one blade there or if she'd try to get them all out at once. But no, she wants to try with just one at first, quietly deciding which one of them she wants to reach out from there.

Then it sounds as if a blade is unsheathing itself -- and that's exactly what happens there, considering how the next thing is said blade pulling out from under her bed and floating into the air. ]
