What information do people have on the Council? Not just the people and how they operate. Their buildings, security, everything.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I can tell you a great deal about how they handle youths after they have been arrested. I also made note of where I saw guards in that area of the building, and likely my father and Elphaba can tell you about obtaining my release.

[And Drizzt does relay the information about the guards; locations, equipment, demeanor, that sort of thing. Also about how he was not bound and was treated well enough. And the holding cells that he saw for good measure, although he's not certain they're the only holding cells in the place.]

I could draw a crude map if it would help.

[Pens are new, so the name is said with a bit of a questioning tone. A few moments later, Drizzt gives an affirmative noise in his mind as he likely finds one.]

I only know some of the layout, but it is better than nothing. I paid close attention in case my own escape was necessary.

And you should learn to make portals. Escaping is much easier when you can teleport away.

You can't rely on one person here. Not when there's always the chance that only one of you will be infiltrating.

[Matthew pauses as well]

[A long pause of his own. Drizzt wonders just how badly Zaknafein would take it if Drizzt infiltrated without him..]

That is entirely too true, especially since Father infiltrating would be preferable.

For good reason, I assume. I would offer to join you, but with me already being watched, that would not be advisable.

Probably best not to have more people along anyway. I've already had two people go and invite themselves along...

You mean having a dozen Investigators attempting to break in all at once would be obvious? Or perhaps two dozen.

It's that twelfth one that takes it from being subtle into being blindingly conspicuous.

Ah, yes. The twelfth man—or woman, mind you—simply would not fit into smaller rooms with the others and would have to wait outside. Eleven strains the boundaries of the room but usually still fit within. 'Tis a good rule to remember.
