The supposition there is also not entirely correct. I’ll grant you the occasional cat that keeps humans to serve, but most cats are looking for a different relationship with the humans they choose to keep company with.

As for the last supposition of the bunch, even the most independent of souls enjoys a safe place to bed down when they’re resting between adventures. The Kings and Queens of cats provide that for their subjects, among other things.
