[The first memory comes on the network partway through the first day of the week - the entire thing is underlaid with an anxious air, Kinji's uncertainty as to how it will pan out, and there's a profound sense of relief as Arke rushes off into the distance before it cuts off.

[There's radio silence for a few hours on the video front from Kinj, until eventually a second memory comes through, and while Kinji's not terribly familiar with her there are no doubt others who will recognise Thorne. Kinji's emotions are a lot more stable this time, apart from a very abrupt dip into panic when he gets offered immortality, no thank you.

This memory ends up being quite a sight longer than the first, but far more informative for it; thank you, Selene, for your generosity in this endeavor.]

I can show you how to change your outfit, if you can't yet. It took me a long time to figure out, and I can't change anyone else's yet, though.

Sure. I mean, I think I'm almost there? The stripes on my jacket went white for a few seconds, but I couldn't make it stick. So you could definitely help with that! And then maybe we can try to figure out the one where you change other people together?

[And if we turn this into a teaching thread maybe we can timeskip to that part because she already has a Wardrobe I proof. And then we both can get it]

Do you know if it's possible to stop other people from doing stuff, though? Because I'd also want to stop him being able to change his clothes for a while or he'd just reverse everything I did right away.

I'm in the Aiya right now if you want to come over and eat and work on things. I think it somehow restocks the fridge every day?

[And you're way better at making food than her, although she's making progress with putting meat on sticks and holding them over a flame.

Even so, it's a good thing that one of the things in the fridge that keeps coming back is pre-cooked sausages.]

[His voice sounds very satisfied as he contemplates the fridge, and after a few moments, he'll turn up, still in his not-quite-blending-in white kimono.]

Right. A snack first, and then we'll get started?

[His snack, as he assembles it, is more like a cross-section survey of everything available in the place, but that's not unusual.]

Definitely a snack first. We can't figure out how to do skills on an empty stomach.

[The snacking can attend to itself at more or less the usual pace, and in relative silence, with occasional breaks to recommend an exchange of this or that piece of meat, or passing various condiments back and forth. Finally, Souji lets out a satisfied sigh.]

[Once the dishes have been shoved off to the side and the table cleaned off (easy to do with Presto) Chie unknots her jacket from her waist and shrugs it on. As she does, the yellow stripes start changing to white]

Okay. So I've got the changing color part done okay. What I need to do is get it to stick when I'm not paying attention.

Think about the way everything freezes when you put it in Hammerspace. A hot sandwich is still hot ten hours later...

[This is not a randomly chosen example. Meanwhile, Souji stretches out, trying to feel the changes she's making the same way he senses portals, or the various tricks he can work with Liminal Space. The first step to changing someone else, he thinks, has to be feeling the changes they make...]

Man, I love that part of liminal space. It's the best part of it.

[Well, that seems to have stabilized the jacket change... but what's under the jacket is now distinctly different.]

Think of your outfit the way you think of a sandwich when you movie it in or out of hammerspace.

[Okay. So it's like a sandwich. Always good no matter how long it's been in there... or how long it's been out in terms of her clothing.
