... Right, so. Casper here. I have a few things to discuss. I don't know if they're relevant, but here we go.

First of all, there's a number of Travelers who are dead. They don't seem to be able to get in contact with us on the network, and they can't go through walls or doors. If you can talk to the dead, give me a shout - we should organize to at least make sure everyone has news from each side. I saw a number of ghosts at the burial service. Let me know if you need to pass a message along in the meantime - I'll do what I can to find people.

Second of all, one of the ghosts gave me a sigil. Given everything people are saying, I'm not going to draw it out. I can describe it. The person who gave it to me was Frederika Bernkastel. She also said something about an Emperor of the Dead, which... I'd like to follow up on, but I'd also like someone with more experience in Harrogate eldritch stuff to double-check my work, so to speak.

And finally... I don't know if this is relevant, but I had a bad dream about a crowded cafe very late at night, people with red eyes, and an intense feeling of dread. Could be my imagination running off on me, but it might be something. I'm not exactly someone who's dipped into prophecy-related things, but given that we have very few leads and this place is practically screaming 'horror novel', I don't want to automatically throw it out.

So that's what the disturbances in the Force were. I've never been very good at seeing more than a few seconds into the future, but the way things are here, that sounds like it's Something.

I can summon. And can tell when they're around to use it.

I'm not sure how summoning works. Can you explain that to me?

[Guess who doesn't realize he has that.]

Calling up the spirits of the dead. It'll probably be a bit trickier here than in the Sun Temple, since the spirits aren't used to being summoned. But my overlay was getting pretty good at it.

Ah. ... Yeah, I don't summon them, I can just see them. I probably could figure it out, but it seems kind of... rude.

... But I've been seeing them since I was little. It took me a while to figure out that other people couldn't see them.

They only come if they want to. It's easier if they're still invested in their descendants. And maybe want you to marry their great-grandson.

[That one left an impression okay?]

Jedi can see them too... but there aren't that many at home. It doesn't happen automatically.

... Hopefully they don't want that from me.

Huh... yeah, it doesn't happen automatically where I'm from, either. They have to have some regret or strong feeling still keeping them attached.

I think the ghosts here have other things to worry about.

It's a particular Jedi technique, I'm pretty sure. I've never heard of anyone who wasn't Force sensitive, anyway.

Different worlds have different rules for that, I guess? Or... different universes.

Yeah that's what it usually comes down to.

[Half of the first week is usually finding out those rules]

It makes everything complicated. More interesting, but complicated.

All those protocol lessons almost seem useful when we have to figure out a whole new universe.

What do you mean by protocol lessons?

[forcechanic]

Sometimes my brothers and I had to go to boring government events. So Threepio would drone on and on about etiquette on hundreds of different planets.

[And apparently sometimes he still didn't get it all]

That sounds like it kind of sucked.

They were super boring. Some of the ambassadors would sneak us candy though. And it wasn't as bad when we were younger. We'd just look cute for the cameras and then our nanny would take us home.

I think Dad was jealous that we got to leave early.

Not the type to go through meetings, huh. I don't blame him. I tend to not have a lot of patience for them, either.

[forcechanic]

Dad's always been more about flying and problems he could shoot. But the New Republic needed Mom in politics, so that's what happened.

[helborn]

... Sometimes that's what has to happen to solve a problem. Not always, though. So it's good you get a little of both.

[forcechanic]

It was the right answer most of the time during the war. But Mom's worked hard to change that.

Still not going into politics though.

I don't blame you. I don't think I'd be able to take boring meetings like that.

Sitting still has never been my strong point.
