[Drizzt sounds older than he currently looks in person, owing to the wonky drow-to-human teenager translation of his body.

He does, however, sound eagerly enough that it might be a little hard to tell the difference.]

I've found a number of books at the local library that I would like to copy for the Workshop's own library. Is there anyone that can assist me while we are still here? I cannot simply steal them. ... And is it possible we could find more interesting ones before we leave?

[Now you know why Drizzt has been quiet for a good portion of this jaunt: B O O K S. And yes, apparently Drizzt has managed to find the time to read even with all the things that have been happening. Drizzt is dedicated.]

The scribes sometimes got bored while copying books, and they had a tendency to draw strange or inappropriate things in the margins. Some are more amusing than others. The ones in your Museum would not have been these, I suspect, and many of these drawings most certainly are not for the eyes of a child.

...Well if you want rude pictures, all you need for that is the internet.

I would not search for rude pictures myself, but I suppose it's only natural to be amused by the ones I did come across. They must have been horribly bored.

And a few things which can't, but still somehow end up being about sex anyway.

Imagine a vast network, that spans the entire globe; like roads spreading out from cities, connecting them to each other. Except the number of roads numbers in the trillions, and it takes no more than than the blink of an eye to cross from one side of the Earth to the other. Click a few buttons, and you can know practically anything. Talk to practically anyone. The sum of all that exists online, if it could somehow be transferred to the page, would cover an entire country hundreds of times over.

And much of it is porn.

The Internet is...a kind of reflection of humanity. The good and the bad, and everything in-between. It's better to learn how to navigate it, than avoid it entirely.

The rest I will still be happy to learn how to navigate. Just not the... certain materials.

Just don't go googling for things without the safe search off.

Or clicking on strange links.

Or replying to emails from people claiming to be Nigerian princes.



...That last one generally doesn't result in porn, mind you, but it's still not a good idea.

Like we told you, the internet is...people. The good and the bad. So just like in the 'real' world, there's always going to some who are more interested in scamming anything and everything they can out of you.

And some that are more interested in porn. [Drizzt sounds vaguely amused by this.] Is there at least some interested in arts and literature?

Now that I would like to see. History, too! Or perhaps more of those tales of epic adventures fighting horrible foes.

You might like movies and documentaries. They have plenty of those.

I have seen movies on the television in our hotel. Some are rather brilliant, and others... not so much. Like books, I suppose.

I wish we had movies or portable music like we do here back in my world. It is like being able to simply step into another time or place! Although I believe I may still prefer books over all others.
