(no subject)

[We now interrupt your network peace with a regular panic post-- which is not from Jules this time.]

AAAAAAAAA?! WHAT IS THIS?! I'M STILL FURRY! Will I stay like this from now on?! I don't mind the fur, but I don't want to be like this forever...! Someone help...

[The fact you can return in your form had passed him by completely.]

We have one network rule. Is that so much to ask?

[But since he's responding anyway]

Sometimes people keep the form.
capital_asset: (...Why.)

[personal profile] capital_asset 2017-03-24 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you tried changing back yet?

[Sabetha's telepathic voice still sounds remarkably similar to Elisavet's. In this case, to Elisavet's immediately after one of the pack has done something ridiculous.]

Only if you keep screaming. Change back - the process isn't so different from what it was in Sarmatia.

Good. A great nightmare wolf would have been difficult to explain on the next world.

[The memories of watching over the younger members of Elisavet's pack are still fresh enough that her tone softens a little.]

To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever been permanently trapped in an inherited form - it certainly hasn't happened in the years I've been Traveling. It can be difficult to shift between them, but the calmer you stay, the easier it will be the next time you find yourself in that predicament.

Yes. Think back to how it worked during the Jaunt - changing back now that you're in Liminal Space is similar if not identical.

She doesn't nap as often as she used to, but she still takes one.

[And he likes it to last]

No, you should be able to switch back on forth between them. Rosie goes mermaid sometimes, and Zoe used one of her forms to keep an eye on us in Newport.

Yes, I do remember that little scheme.

[She may still have some bruising from the collision between Elisavet's head and her desk when she first heard.]

...When were you last with us? I'm afraid I don't recall.

I suppose full form changes were a good deal rarer back then. They only started becoming common as of Melasurei and Questing Country.

Lucky for you, you didn't. She tends to scream back when people do that.

[After very nearly a year, Wash is almost used to having a psychic baby. Kinda. Maybe.]

Probably a similar idea. You guys were back in Samartia, right?

I don't think I've yet seen a case where a form change can't be reversed eventually. But it does take some getting used to.

[ Souuuuuuuunds like others helped him with the problem already. ]

So... Feeling better now?

My first jaunt. they were having an election. It was... an experience.
capital_asset: (This seems dubious.)

[personal profile] capital_asset 2017-03-29 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I think a few people might have kept their mermaid forms after the first Shoals Jaunt, but other than that, I don't think we had very many Jaunts that required any of us to change our forms. The high school might have been the turning point, although in that case it doesn't really help that it's technically a disease.
goestoextremes: (There's no need to be alone)

No problem, it's always a weird experience to return from another form for the first time. Glad you got back to normal and welcome back.
goestoextremes: (too much emotion)

Run away from anything like... What?

And mine's Korra.

[personal profile] goestoextremes 2017-03-30 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
But there isn't anything dangerous here... Most of the time. I think.

Nice to meet you too.

[personal profile] goestoextremes 2017-03-30 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. I mean true but I don't think we need to run away, literally... Oh, on jaunts it makes a lot of sense. Definitely very useful on those for many things, including running away.
goestoextremes: (Always gonna be an uphill battle)

[personal profile] goestoextremes 2017-03-31 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing wrong with that if that's what you feel like doing.

You know, I'm not sure since I'm not from a world with normal animals according to what people consider normal here. But I'm pretty sure even the animals back in my home world don't radiate an aura like that, so yeah, that could be a problem.

Bit of a change, sounds like. Walkabout's usually smaller though.

There seems to be a fairly large percentage of Travelers with at least one variant of X-Pressure...

...New virus?

[Please don't let it be that ridiculousness from the Jaunt.]

It isn't, though it's close enough that I might answer to it. You can call me Sabetha.
