I ask because the Jaunt is only on its second day. I wasn't sure if the walkabout was running on the same schedule or not, and my perception of just about everything is still a bit sideways.
[Granted, suddenly being a Diabolin is not helping.]

As for the Jaunt itself, there's a four-day music festival going on, and one of the acts has disappeared. There may or may not be aliens involved.

The Jaunt actually started the day before the festival, so we've probably got a little more time than that. Is there anything we're specifically supposed to be doing?

The Arcana in question would be Moon. Why she felt she had to remove me from my overlay and throw me over here to prevent that, I don't know, as my overlay no longer worked there, had left on bad terms, and was highly unlikely to talk to any of you anyway, but here we are.
[There is a certain amount of dryness to his mental voice when he reaches the last part of that second sentence.]
As for what she didn't want me to tell you... It probably had to do with the existence and location of Area 54.

If Raidou confronted him, he wouldn't deny anything - likely, he wouldn't even try to defend himself. He knows he deserves how people feel about him.
But all that was two years ago. He's a different person, now. Their situation is different, and he feels differently about it too. As things are now, he would never have done it. But that still doesn't change what he did, as he well knows.
The past is beyond his reach. He can only move forward.]
Moon. All right. I don't suppose you have any clues as to who she's playing against?
[There's a pause, as he drily considers the apparent absurdity of what Moon had done.]
That is odd. Especially as we now already know about the existence and location of area 54, after the kidnappings in the past 24 hours.

Unfortunately, no, although in retrospect I recognize the food vendor as Dara, or at least someone wearing her face.
[At the very least, you'd think it would occur to Moon that someone might try to contact him from the Jaunt, since that's been done successfully on other Jaunt-Walkabout pairs. Honestly, Raidou suspects she just thought it would be funny.]
Kidnappings?
Some of my overlay's former coworkers are in the area on an active mission. I would not be at all surprised if they're connected.

I haven't seen the food vendor around, but I think I've heard Dara mentioned. [Honestly, that would make more sense to Armin, if this were just amusing to her. That at least is a motive and reasoning he can understand.]
Zed, and Malik, and several others. I think they were suspected of being aliens. They were kidnapped and taken to area 54 - the rescue attempt is under way.

The Walkabout's time frame seems to be playing out as you'd normally expect, rather than accelerated the way it is on the Jaunt.

[It's always hard, not knowing how the people you've come to care for are faring, after a jaunt ends.]
It's the start of the third week, then? The time differential is about a factor of seven?
[In fact, there is evidence for the differential in their conversation - though Armin's messages play out at normal speed, there are abnormally long pauses between them, for a network conversation. Though from Armin's perspective, it's the other way around - never even a pause before he gets Raidou's response.]

[Especially given the part Ari had played in nearly getting them all killed.]
It would seem so, yes. There was another Jaunt-Walkabout pair that was like that, wasn't there?
[Raidou has been noticing the pauses. He's been assuming that's the time disparity at work.]

[Raidou had honestly not paid any attention to the discussions about that at the time. He'd been too busy trying to keep himself together long enough to help free Neeshka from her dungeon, before becoming imprisoned in one himself.]
...There's a decent chance you know this already, but Area 54 has some alien technology at their disposal - they study it. Given the kinds of powers we as a group possess, I don't doubt that the rescue party will be able to cope, but just in case.
[Although really, Raidou suspects the biggest danger is keeping Zed from losing his temper and doing something ill-advised.]
