Ah, well. I guess this is how to make this thing work. Odd, but useful.

In any case, my name is Naoya. I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to introduce myself, but there you are. I'm guessing that there won't be a lot of time on these 'Jaunts' for the meet and greet - not if we're intended to go solve some problem or another.

I do have some questions, however. First of all, is there a spare computer or a way to acquire one on one of these Jaunts? I deal with computers as part of my work, so it's a little strange not having them around. Secondly, is there anywhere I can plug in an electronic device? And possibly find some spare cords I can rewire... I'm not exactly counting on the voltage to be the same.

... And thirdly, does anyone have access to a dark room or possibly some ice that is not ice cream? This place is already giving me a headache, and I suspect it's only going to get worse.

Takes sometime to get used to it if some of us ever really get used to it, though yes it's very useful.

Hi, I'm Korra, never sure how to introcude myself either [unless he remembers a video inside his head about a polar bear dog, that was her too if the name sounds familiar.] but welcome to traveling with us. I guess the having time part depends on the jaunt or how much each of us actually is going to do there, some jaunts have more time for those than others.

[ Might also depend on who all are themselves during a jaunt since some people come up with more things to say / do for everyone than others, so .... who knows where they're even going next and if there will be time at all. ]

I can make as much or little ice as you need.

Hm. I admit I don't know all that much about these jaunt things... so I'll take your word for it.

Ice would be helpful... I basically just need something to press against my neck or forehead. It helps to minimize headaches.

It also depends on how long the jaunt lasts. Last jaunt was only under a week instead of weeks like they usually are, so that obviously left much less time for everything.

[Not that she'd have complained for the chance of being there for weeks and she can't say the same about every jaunt.]

My water powers also have healing abilities if you want a quicker solution for it than dark room and ice?

[ not that she would be surprised if newcomer wants some peace and quiet in the dark for a while either, but he has options! ]

... I'm not certain that magic will touch it - my healing magic never has. But they're not water-based, so I don't know.

...Ohh, well in that case I'm not sure either but I could still try unless you really want that dark room and ice?

It's worth a try, I suppose. Other worlds' magic might have different results.

Ahaha, well, you came at the right time. They may be distracted by Liminal Shenanigans right now, but look for people named Thorne, Claudia, and Jules - they know about getting computers and other electronics to work in this space. I haven't the foggiest, personally, I just make a room with electric lights and declare that they should be lit, but they go rather deeper into the engineering.

Speaking of rooms, though, there's numerous places around which might work for you, created by us Travelers. I believe Maestro Leonardo's Workshop is always open, as is my own mansion, which you can recognize by the gaudy golden eagle motif I slap on everything.

True, now I'm curious to see if it will work. And hey, if it doesn't work, at least I can still give you some ice for it while I'm there.

Heh. It's worth a try. I'm near the doors... I'm not sure about how to identify some of them, however. A lot of them look similar.

I see. I'm a programmer by trade, and I know how to build my own computers, so I'm decent at the engineering.

[There's a pause.]

That's fine, I'll take my polar bear dog [yes, she says that as if it's completely normal to have one] she's easy to identify. So, we'll see you soon.

[It only takes a short moment before she walks there from the workshop with a what can only be a huge polar bear dog, who looks excited to get to Liminal Space but Korra tells her to wait. She'd be free to go, but no, she does as the girl says and they both look around to find him.]

Naoya-san, this is Souji. We made fried ice cream together. I can get you to a dark room, if you haven't been assigned a bedroom in the Workshop yet.

[Meanwhile Naoya is sitting in the checkerboard grass near the doors, poking at what looks like a Nintendo 3DS. ... Not that Korra likely knows what one is. The sound of someone moving close to him has him look up though, and he... stares for a moment at the polar bear dog before recovering.]

I haven't found a bedroom, no. That would be... helpful.

Pleasure to meet you, Naoya, I am Helena Wells. I have plenty of spare cords and wiring, darling, and a generator in my rooms that you are more than welcome to use.

I know some of computers, but I do know that there are many who bring them back from Jaunts.

Oh, excellent. I should be able to splice together the right cords... as long as you know what voltage your generator is at. I can likely bend any flexible metal around in order to make the correct plug, too.

[Stupid COMPs and their stupid chargers being weird shapes.]

I believe I know it, but I can quickly make a voltage meter so we can be absolutely certain. I would hardly wish for you to have a problem with your computer.

I do also have quite a few tools in my laboratory for whatever you might need. I do try to keep well-stocked for different situations.

If need be I can cannibalize one of my COMPs for parts, though I'd rather not, since they're specially modified.

[Even though some of them are cracked... shouldn't be all that hard to fix.]

I think I'll probably spend some time in there, as long as I'm not in your way. I got my degree in programming, but it's not as if I didn't spend a lot of my time with the hardware as well. You don't have to worry about me blowing something up. ... Probably. There's always a chance.

Oh, do not worry about that. If you show me the parts, I should be able to duplicate them for you. I can make whatever I see. I would not wish you to have to take apart your equipment.

Oh, absolutely! You are always welcome. If you wish a space of your own, I have the ability to make that as well. I am attempting to learn how to manipulate energy in Liminal Space, so hopefully I will be able to wire my spaces soon. For now, I can easily make another generator.

All right. Where are you right now? Are there any... notable landmarks?

My rooms have a large, wooden double door to them. Currently, it is propped open. I am brewing tea, so that might help as well.

... A lot of doors in a field. I can see the main barbecue area from here.
