If anyone is looking for something productive to do...
As much as I tolerate appreciate religious traditions as the cultural phenomena that they are, it doesn't take but a cursory observation of this situation to realize that this dance will do very little to alleviate the suffering of the people of this planet.
Were this planet of the United Planets, with access to 31st century technology, there would be no need for intervention as this world would likely already have the recommended climate control technology in place. Sadly, that isn't the case.
Any infrastructure project would take too long, considering that these 'jaunts' probably would not lend sufficient time to gather the resources, designing, or building an effective solution to the problem.
Thus there are only two viable options.
I can design technological blue prints, within the technological reach of the people of this world, and through diplomacy, try to find someone who has access to the resources required to start such an endeavor...
Or, alter the climate of this planet ourselves.
By increasing the size of the water ice caps on the planets poles, the ice will reflect more sunlight, resulting in a cooler overall climate for a foreseeable future. It is a temporary solution but weighing both options? Considering our resources it may be significantly more achievable.
Regardless, I will need volunteers to pursue the diplomacy route.

As intriguing an idea as it may be, it poses a few problems... such as making it obvious that we are outsiders, not simple stowaways as they have been led to believe. The natives of this world may not appreciate your endeavors - and they may, in fact, grow angry if you try to disrupt the dance.
Why do you think the dance will not make winter come?

Leonardo, it's a ritual. Winter will come regardless of the dancing and it will end in spite of it.
If we choose to not get involved in the affairs of this world, that is a choice I would respect. However, if we choose instead to help them, we should do all we can.

[This gal's voice is confused and dubious. She doesn't know just how any of that would work.]
I mean, you'd think we'd have more clues, if that were the case, don't you?

I do not see how dancing will effect the climate of this planet, nor am I inclined to obey the whims of our cosmic hosts.

I may see I can find the source of this 'collection' and analyze their technology. Shouldn't require more than a brief scan.

[No, she's not saying Alcuin's name. And yes, she's also shortening Leonardo da Vinci's name.]

Then I'll be inquiring to Leonardo about that.
As long as we're speaking, you wouldn't mind introducing yourself?
And explaining any powers or unique abilities you have at your disposal? I ask only for future planning and tactics.
