I can confirm that this is definitely Harrogate, though 123 years in the future, the year 2020.

Everyone themselves on the jaunt, check in here. [His acting skills from his overlay here the last time are being used to good effect, as he appears confident and energetic, hiding whatever fear and uncertainty he has about this place.] Who's investigating here, and who have you seen infiltrating? Is anyone themselves but with an infiltrator persona - and if so, what can you tell us of the current situation?

I'd also like to know who has memory restoration - we should coordinate who we turn back into themselves, starting with other people who know memory restoration, so we can affect the greatest number of people. And if you have any ideas of what we should ask people on the walkabout side of things, let me know - I'll likely be contacting them as soon as we start to have things organized and know what's going on over here.

A century and change ago from this Jaunt's perspective, we had to stop an Ancient One from being summoned into this world. According to Chariot, we barely succeeded - and I had assumed we failed outright until he said as much. If you know Tarot symbology you know why I believe him, but damn.

Old Yeller is no joke. Stay safe. I can go into more detail but shouldn't over the public network.

The King In Yellow. His actual name starts with an H. Don't say it; it's actively harmful to hear, and it attracts his attention.

As for some of the other likely baddies... ever read anything by Lovecraft?

I notice that one of his contemporaries is a lot more popular in Harrogate than he is in my homeworld, which is interesting.

A cult was using a local play to try and summon the King in Yellow into this world.

It was stopped only at the last second, and only by burning down the theatre during the play. Many perished, Traveler and townsfolk alike. And though the King didn't gain an avatar in this world, he gained a foothold in liminal space for a long time until Priestess finally figured out how to banish him.

So, things can follow us from these Jaunts and Walkabouts back to Liminal Space. That's something new Travelers should be made aware of when they first arrive.

It's best then to be on the look out for anything like a cult now then. It might not be the same problem this time around, but...

It's only happened like this the once. The King in Yellow is probably the most powerful being we've come across, only possibly excepting the Arcana themselves.

And it's always a struggle, figuring out how much to tell newcomers - most are freaked out enough as it is. There are things they should know, but not everyone takes well to being overloaded with it all right away. And since everyone reacts differently... well, I know never to start with Moebius, but other than that, I take it on a case by case basis.

A cult, or any sign of eldritch power or magic, yes.

It's still a risk that we should be aware of. We go blind into all of these Jaunts and Walkabouts... knowing a possible trap is how to avoid it. Right?

That's true. We're... not the best organized group. You may have noticed. There was some discussion on the network about what happened, when we got the hint it might be Harrogate, but nobody did a general summary for everyone to hear, and they probably should have.

[He doesn't say that many veterans who were at Harrogate last time may have been too frightened or panicked over the prospect of going back to think straight - that's unlikely to help, either.]

It's not really hard to notice.

You should tell people. Even if it might be scary. They should know if there is a chance that we might bring back more than memories. Even if it is only "things may not stay in their worlds."
