I know what the situation looked like to a random tourist. Can someone fill me in on what we've found beneath the surface? Something's obviously direly wrong.

I was merely going to look for a copy of the King in Yellow, but I will wait near the lip.

A friend suggested the Buddy system, but didn't wish to go by the code name Buddy, what are your thoughts?

Buddy wouldn't be the strangest thing I've been called.

I think there's history with the King in Yellow.

Yes, it seems that way. I simply want it for persona research, but people seem quite afraid of it. From what I understand as long as mortals don't read it, or see the play the book is quite harmless.

I think the king was a player in the last excursion here and people don't want to take the chance of a repeat.

I'd argue that this kind of interference is another reason to not play games.

I was created to assist on one side in such games so I can not say yay or nay, it simply is what I am used to.

I simply have abandoned my position in those games, so this is my first time seeing it as a pawn.

My younger siblings play games sometimes. They forget how much power they have and how badly they can damage mortal lives.

I'm not sure how old the Arcana are, but it should be old enough to know better.

The Velvet Room was created to assist the mortals in the games Philrman and Nyarlathotep so I do have some insight into the working of Great Old Ones.

They are quite good at causing problems, but I wonder about the Arcana.

The Arcana aren't so different from my family. They just tend toward their most juvenile moments.

As for that experience, I myself have spent most of my existence dealing with an issue man brought on itself when it thought it could manipulate those powers outside of game. I still do not understand why anyone would use despair to awaken death under the idea that they then would be able to remake humanity in their own image? And I am incapable of even shaking those responsible till they answer me because they are all dead.
