[Drizzt's mind suddenly and without warning rolls forth, his anger slamming into the network, his thoughts barely coherent as the Hunter fights for control.]

My parents are gone. I must bring them back. One of you must know. Tell me now!

[Never before in Synodiporia has Drizzt Do'Urden been so fully enraged, filled with anger that is so much easier to feel than the agonizing pain of losing his father after they had truly become father and son. In his anger, he unhelpfully does not state where he is. Only some that know him well might figure it out.]

[A large web of emotions come from Drizzt. A cold wet slap in the face. Maybe he might actually get through. Except then the rage coalesces again, but now it is filtered through pain.]

[Waves and swirls, flashes of grief.]

[Swirling, trying to be angry, trying to hold onto it even as grief fights through pockets.]

[Drizzt's eyes go wide and he stares, absolutely dumbfounded at being summoned. He only doesn't trip because he's a goddamn drow.]

[At attempt at being cold. He takes a step back.]

Well too bad, motherfucker. We're in the shit now.

-=he starts coming closer, holding his arms out=-

[Just, picture this. A fierce warrior of a drow trying to remain angry, clutching sheathed longswords, trying not to look frightened at his friend coming towards him for A GODDAMN HUG.]

I may hurt you!

-=and with that he swoops and and wraps Drizzt up in his weird, frankenbird arms and pulls him close. he'd like to think he's gotten better at things like 'comforting' and 'friendship'so he's giving it a try=-

[Drizzt starts trembling, and he forces himself to let go of Zaknafein's swords before he does something that he regrets. The sounds of each hitting the floor seals the finality of the situation, of what has happened. His eyes go wide, and suddenly it's just Drizzt in Davesprite's arms.

A moment later, his knees buckle, unable to support his weight, and he cannot even find the strength to bring his arms up to return the hold. The sheer agony that slams through his heart stuns him into silence. And then, because Drizzt is a fucking melodramatic son of a literal bitch, he faints right away.]

-=okay. well. that's not what he expected. not that he was expecting anything in particular, but this was not it=-

Okay, princess. Here I go. Sweepin you off your feet like the fuckin hero I never was.

-=he quickly gathers Drizzt into his arms and just... sits. sort of. More like curls his tail around and makes a nest of himself for Drizzt to settle in, wings wrapped around him for now=-

[It takes a while before Drizzt stirs back to consciousness. He notices he's being held, and he knows he's in the arms of a friend. The drow doesn't fight back against the hold, instead letting himself remain in it. Drizzt reaches his outer hand to touch his friend's side without opening his eyes, not wanting to face reality quite yet.]

-=davesprite debates moving them to the bed or the beanbag nest, but decides to just stay where he is so he doesn't wake drizzt up before he's ready. he raises a brow when drizzt finally moves, his own arms draped loosely around the small drow, soft faintly glowing wings draped like a heavier weight across his back=-

[Drizzt shifts his weight, only shaking his head in the negative.
