That would explain why he didn't seem to know much about what was up, when I talked to him. Guess I was just asking him about the wrong people.

...Maybe he's a shapeshifter. [That would explain a lot. Just not why he'd keep running around in human form among forestfolk. So maybe not.]

Only in the sense that I was asking about the dig site, which is being run by humans. Presumably even people who haven't been working there know some of what's been going on.

Especially if they work for Beatrice, and a lot of the humans seem to do that.
