I know the Arcana like to poke at our issues with the things that happen to our overlays. Seems to be the main thing overlays have in common, really. Can't help thinking it's downright cruel to do it to a baby though.

I want Mama back for real.

There's a few that aren't Travelling that seem to pop up a lot in the other worlds.

Mostly it seems to happen around people who are infiltrating.

It seems cruel to remind us of the people we can't see anymore. Especially to a baby. Is there any sort of reason behind it?

Mostly it just seems to be a way of making our lives parallel. Zoe was part of my last overlay's background too, but she'd died by the time the Jaunt started.

She does enjoy novel distractions.

Hard to say what'll happen then. We've never gotten an answer for what that means with the people who are out of ambit. Might be it depends on which Arcana actually wins the whole thing.

[Stone doesn't say that this revelation is disturbing-- Wash probably doesn't need to hear that-- but he's definitely thinking it. He's follows the scent to the open space door, and waits outside it.]

So not all of them will send us all home, fish us out of this out-of-ambit place, that sort of thing. Do we know which ones are planning to do what? Also, I'm outside. I can shift to let the little one climb on me, but I don't want to scare anyone by surprising you.

It takes a lot to scare Rosie. She's used to a pretty wide range.

A few of the Arcana have mentioned about sending us home and when. SOme mean to put us back right when we left so I'm really not sure how that'll work with Rose.

Can't put a baby back into the womb. Well, I suppose with this magic of theirs they could, but I doubt she'd like it much.
