Open to Investigators

Does anyone have any information on one of three things: A love quadrilateral among students, an amnesiac student who was one of the aforementioned, or the person in charge of the newspaper?

I have an idea, but I need more information quickly. If you would rather find me in person, I am wearing what looks like a uniform, blue pants and a white jacket.

The culprit of the misplaced confessions has been identified.

I am a bit uncertain of the names, but there are four students, one of which has contracted amnesia due to the flashmob, and there is an engagement involved. The two students engaged are both in love with others, and wish to be with the others instead of each other. If there is anyone who could assist in sorting this out, I would be grateful.

This is certainly not my genre.

I don't know about a quadrilateral, but -

Kuzunoha came to me asking about whether there are any S.Tech cures for amnesia. I'd guess he's one of the four; it seemed like he might be ready to act on that, but I'm not sure.

Kongou accidentally projected a romantic daydream when we first got here - about Kuzunoha. If he's one of the four, she is too.

Understood. I was not given names when I found out about the situation, but it seems there is a romantic tangle, something about the amnesiac, as well as an arranged engagement.

There is a reason I usually do not deal with romantic cases.

I don't know much about the one involved with the newspaper but she was pretty frosty when I said that I had no idea about the events that happened when we first got here.

To me she only seemed to care about getting stories out quicker than the truth. But that's all I know.

Hm. Even more suspicious. Thank you, Senpai. Anyone who discards the truth so carelessly is worthy of suspicion.

Any bit of information is useful at this point.

What are you planning on doing at this point? Is she someone we need to keep an eye on?

I am going to question her about the situation. It seems the most expedient way to possibly get what we need.

There is the very slight possibility that the amnesiac student could be linked to the person in charge of the newspaper. And there was someone collapsed on the floor during the flash mob, wasn't it? The Connor student? I only had his name from a secondhand source, so it may be unreliable.

Connor, as I have been told is the amnesiac student, so if he can be connected to the woman at the newspaper, that is important information.

This is all theory at the moment - but one possible route of events is that the newspaper woman might have orchestrated this entire thing. Cause Connor's amnesia, sat back and watched the whole quadrilateral drama unfold.

I stress again, I have little evidence to actually support this, but - it seems a possible thing, especially given how she discards the truth so easily in favour of gossip.

Or it could be instigated by someone else who had something to gain from the whole fiasco.

That was what I had thought as well. At the moment, she seems the most likely candidate. She also was one of the few who had access to an office where a letter was left threatening the White Day celebrations.

I do not know how one would cause amnesia, but with this S. Tech, almost anything seems possible. This is the mostly likely theory of anything I have seen thus far.

Or simple head trauma. [ He's seen a few. ] Mental disturbances are also possible, but I would not put much stock into that.

He was found after the flash mob, yes? Some teachers saw to him, as he was injured. That could be the cause. Someone pushing him into the mob, maybe?

Yes, from what I know and remember, he was found on the floor after the flash mob. It would be a very ineffective way of causing amnesia, however. Although, perhaps he was collateral damage. It is possible that it was not intended to happen in that way.

True. We only have mere conjecture at this point, evidence is needed to push conclusions. You are intending to ask the news lady, yes? I can come with you as well. I am a teacher, and am more likely to have a higher authority.

Naoto? I might h-have some relevant information. I think the amnesiac is Conner. And he t-told me he'd been given two love notes, one of them from Kongou - and he s-said he was planning on acting on that one.

I haven't spoken to him in a while, though - I'm not sure what's happened with that. Is it important?

It might be. I think there are two different lines that warrant investigating. That is one of them, and I am working on the other.

Could you see if you could find Connor and speak to him? I do not know him by sight, and someone who has spoken to him before could likely get more information out of him.

All right, I can talk to him. So... I'm looking for information on the 'love quadrilateral'? [Armin's glad to have something to contribute, but this is not his area of expertise.]

I would say a combination of anything he can remember about the amnesia, and some about his love life.

I think sorting out some of the romantic issues, unfortunately, might be a part of it.

... Isn't this the plot of a shoujo manga...?

I have little experience with romance, so I would leave that opinion to others.

It is possible that part of what we are supposed to do is to... right the relationship wrongs, you could say.
