Ugh, okay I wasn't going to add to the flood of people talking about weird visions but there's this one bit of the one I saw that is really sticking with me.

The vision: A pair of dragons were fighting. They were WAY bigger than the ones you guys brought back. The smaller of the two was like the size of a bus. Then while I watch it all an evil tree spoke to me, saying something like "You aren't the only one who has a mascot!" Which, who knows what that means.

That's not the weird part.

The weird part is One of the dragons was using Liminal Portals.

Also being drunk is weird. Being hungover is terrible.

I've never had to deal with one personally, I mean, they detonated one nearby when I first got to Tokyo-3, but I've never used one.

Um. I was the pilot of Evangelion Unit-01. If your world doesn't have anything like it, Eva's a little hard to explain. It's a seventy-meter tall... um... bio-cybernetic weapons platform?

[despite communicating psychically, his voice still cracks when he hesitates]

As long as we don't actually have to fight the dragons, I think I'll be fine. Um. I really couldn't do anything like that, without Eva.

Okay cool, I'ma give the advice I always give newbies:

The first jaunt you go on you're probably going to feel like you should be doing something.

Don't.

Heh. Most people don't take it that well. Last jaunt I went out into the thick of it without a good plan, a ghost almost ate my hands, though.

There's a lot of travelers who REALLY know what they're doing. If someone asks for help with something you feel like you CAN do and you feel up to it, that's probably a safe way to pitch in.

If there's people who know how to handle that kind of thing, I'm happy to let them do their jobs!

In some jaunts they are.

That's the thing, you don't KNOW what's real and what's just a myth when you show up in a new jaunt. They're all WILDLY different. Play it safe until you know what's going on.

Liminal Space is always safe, right? I could just stay here, out of the way. I wouldn't mind.

This place isn't what I expected at all. And everyone's so calm about everything...

You can't be scared all the time. You just burn out after a while.

Honestly, most of the time it's fine. And even when it's not as long as you think things through before acting you'll still be pretty safe. The ghost thing only happened because I didn't think things through.

I think dealing with missiles and giant robots would be way MORE stressful.

I think it's pretty normal to be depressed about Traveling when you start.

But, you could probably let him know we all look after each other. Make sure he knows you've got his back.

Look I know it sounds messed up but...we all kind of look out for each other, and there's like a 100 of us who are in the same boat here. Every one of us has been in more or less your exact situation. We'll get you through it even if things DO get bad.
