[Though it may be somewhat alarming to those who have yet to experience the telepathic network, Armin's image appears in everyone's mind. It's been a while since they arrived back, and nobody else seems to be taking the lead getting everyone organized, so he figures someone needs to step up.]

To all the newcomers arriving, please stay calm. Try not to panic, and try not to project your thoughts so chaotically - with all of you that are arriving, it'll only make things more confusing for everyone. No one should hear your thoughts if you're not actively projecting them - except in Gate A2.

I know you all have a lot of questions. There are many of us who've been here a while, so try to find someone who looks like they know what they're doing, and they can help you. I'll try to help as best I can too - we can talk like this, or if you'd prefer face to face, I'm in the hallway connecting the V1 and V2 lounges.

[Toma needs a lot of therapy... but it does make Mai relieved that Chizuru understands, though honestly, she should have known. This is just like her otome protag senpai, honestly... so used to dealing with this, and so capable. She married Hijikata, after all. You have to be really adept at dealing with manpain to accomplish that feat.

So she nods at that, wide-eyed but determined.

[ Chizuru blinks. She hasn't met that many people during fourth wall shenanigans, so it's not like she can immediately deduce when it was that Mai saw him.. her reaction is midway between surprised and concerned, since she was sure Ukyo was trapped in a dungeon portal somewhere-- and that feels sad, okay. Ukyo seemed rather.. well. Not-so-manly-samurai-y to her, which means she has reason enough to worry. ]

When was that..?

...Ah... in the Liminal Space that looked like an airport...

[Mai, Chizuru doesn't know what an airport looks like--but she's too distracted to notice that, it seems. Instead, quietly, she carries on.]

He was there...for sure. It was definitely him...! And he helped me, and...

And now I can't find him again.

[ The finer details don't matter anyway. What matters is that Mai saw Ukyo, which means he's somewhere around here.. even he can't have been hauled out of some dungeon space only to fall right back in, right..?

So Chizuru is already looking around her as if Ukyo could pop up any moment now like that before turning towards the other girl with a somewhat Serious Look in her eyes. ]

Then-- let's look for him together, Mai-san! Who knows, he could still be around somewhere.. I'd feel terrible abandoning him in that case.

[Honestly, Mai almost feels as though Ukyo showed up for just a brief moment--to help her, and save her--and then disappeared again. It fits his modus operandi. He shows up to either save her or kill her and then fades into the night like a sobbing batman.

But even so, if Chizuru thinks that they could find him even so...

Then Mai certainly can't just sit around and hope. She jumps to her feet, nodding quickly.]

A-ah...right...! He...he was the same old Ukyo-san, so I...I want to be able to talk to him more as well.

Maybe there's a part of him that still has trouble facing you.. [ You know, after.. everything that happened.. don't make her say it out loud, she doesn't want to make this whole thing awkward when the idea of seeing Ukyo again is actually a good one, okay. ]

So it could be that he left to hide somewhere around here. But that's why we have to find him and encourage him that it's alright now.

[... Well. When Chizuru puts it like that, she looks immensely concerned. Ukyo avoiding her? She can't even deny the possibility, but--]

Oh no...! But he gets so lonely so easily, I...

[...She bites her lip, fingers intertwined in her nervousness.]

Please...help me look for Ukyo-san, Chizuru-san!

Of course!

[ She tries to put some confidence in her words, hoping that it'll reassure the other girl that they will find Ukyo, that he won't have to linger out there by himself. As long as it's the two of them combined, they should at least be able to do this much, right? So she nods at the other girl before she's already starting to turn. ]

Then let's not keep him waiting, alright..?

[...Well. If Chizuru is confident, then Mai will try to be confident as well. In response, she nods somewhat, managing a small smile. They'll look for Ukyo. Maybe he's still around...maybe they can find him.]

...Okay. [And quietly--] Thank you, Chizuru-san...

[They'll go, and they'll search--and they won't keep him waiting, if she can possibly help it.

But of course, they will never find him because life is hard in Syno.]
