So, uh, this half infiltrated thing is new to me. It's definitely got some upsides but there's one thing I'm actually a bit confused about.

Phillip is actually investigating.

The last one was okay, at least our overlays wound up together eventually.

I think that as long as the people we're speaking to can understand the situation this time, we should tell the truth about it.

Welp. This happened to me in Harrogate, actually. I basically spent a lot of time... I guess you'd say 'talking' with Dr Durante? I mean, when you half-infiltrate, you also have their memories to help you out and even though you remain in control, you can still consult those memories if you need to?

So. I consulted Dr. Durante's memories every step of the way and luckily, being me or almost me, she was very much okay with letting a very hot but also traumatized French guy stay under her roof, especially if for some inexplicable reason he was into her. So just... listen to your inner Jey. A lot. Focus on how she'd react to a cute Mysterious Stranger being into her and run with that.

Jey's got about as much experience with all this dating stuff as I did going in.

Of course, then there's the whole fact that he'll be leaving...

Mom and Dad wound up hiding out in one after Hoth and it was a key part of their relationship.

There's a reason I have no idea how normal romance is supposed to work.

I believe if you're both self-aware, there's not a lot of ethical issues with continuing as you usually do, but if one of you is sharing a form with a local as well, that's a bit trickier.

I'm with Thorne, though. How do you think she'd feel about it?

That's true. It would be much easier if Phillip had an Overlay of his own.

I almost feel uniquely qualified to offer advice and yet, in a similar situation, with hindsight, I probably handled it in the worst way possible...

Yeah, if it were two overlays it would almost be simple.

What did you do?

Well...I existed in an entirely Liminal sense at that point. A man who had my interest existed in an entirely material sense and just barely grasped the possibility of a different level of reality. Seeing an opportunity, I just...invited him into the game I was playing at the time. An equivalent would be drawing your Overlay into this game.

I suppose I can sum up my advice with "don't do that".
