Open to All Investigators-Beginning of Digital Frontier Jaunt

For those who are experiencing this for the first time, don't worry. Just keep calm and listen to this message.

If you're hearing this, you're what we call an investigator: someone who retains their memories from their home and other worlds if they have them while in a Jaunt. Some of us have blended in with the setting and are called Infiltrators; don't try and jog their memory back otherwise we'll be in a lot of trouble. They also cannot use the network we're on right now.

What we need to know now is who's not thinking they're a program and what they have noticed so far. Anything will help us try and figure out a way to solve this next issue.

Checking in. Unless there's something keeping them from responding Armin, Erwin, and Mai all seem to be infiltrating this time around.

[He's so salty you have no idea...

There's a pause before he puts a request of his own out there:]

...If anyone's seen any of them I'd appreciate a heads up. A location would be better.

[So he can keep an eye on them.

You know, so none of them get FUCKING MURDERED this time around.

SO. SALTY.

And now for something a little more useful, since he's had at least a bit of time to look around, and listen.]

From what I've been able to gather so far, we're dealing with a smaller designated 'safe' area and a much larger, mostly uncharted area surrounding that. Admission to the safer area seems... Regulated. Probably by the assholes in red, or whoever's in charge of giving them their orders.

[He's sensitive to that sort of setup, to say the least... And if he sounds a little bitter, it's because he most definitely is. Do they have a god damn toll to get in, too? He bets there is one. Bastards.]

Yeah. [Military Police level douchebags, from what he's seen.

Not that he's biased, or anything.]
They're all over us.

[He doesn't really blame them- bunch of strangers show up out of nowhere and anyone with a processor brain would be suspicious- but it's pretty annoying to have this much heat on them right from the start. The Trumps could have at least given them the benefit of subtlety, shit.]

Do you know if there's anything we're all telling them about why we're here? [Seems like a good idea to get their story straight... Although:] It might be smarter to play it off like it's a coincidence we all arrived at the same time, so it looks less like they're being invaded.

It's as good a story as any.

[He may wind up doing the same thing, who knows? He'll work something out as he goes, probably.]

From what I've seen they don't seem to trust the people in green or blue much either, so we aren't the only ones on their shit list. Three against one, if you're looking at it that way.

[Not that he's suggesting inciting a rebellion or anything, just... Throwing it out there as a possibility. They're sent to place to solve problems and that's a pretty big problem, if it's what's going on here.]

Harder to tell, they don't seem as organized as the Defenders. Blue and red seem just as surprised to see the Greens as they are to see us but I'm not sure what to make of that yet either.

[That's not surprising either- if the reds are official and the others aren't it'd make sense for there to be different opinions floating around... At least in a more obvious way. Every group has its black sheep.]

They seem to be doing what's asked of them, though- as of now I haven't seen any physical disturbances.

[That's a little odd- as That Guy Who'd Disturbed The Peace more than his fair share, Levi's surprised he hasn't seen any scuffles... But maybe he's looking in the wrong place. Or maybe it's just too soon to tell.

He's on his guard, though, and keeping himself as unobtrusive as possible. Trying to blend in and eavesdrop, hid behind whatever the shit these cube looking lumps are. Finally, an upside to being so friggin' short!! ]

Right. I've heard "corruption" thrown around a few times too... Not good in any context but considering the theme here it's definitely something to consider. A disease, maybe...?

[A vaguely amused or possibly sarcastic huff.]

That'd be asking too much. Anyway, I don't know if you were here for it, but there was another world we got dumped in where disease was a major concern. [He's vaguely aware of what 'corruption' means when referring to computers by this point, and if 'programs' are 'people'...] ...Let's hope it isn't like that here.

[Because that had sucked major ass.

But again... Probably asking too much.]

That's the one. But what do you mean by 'again'?

[Levi's pretty curious about these dungeons and how they work, but so far has only spoken with one person who claims to have been shoved into one.]

If we're going by my count, I haven't hit the year mark yet. [He's been keeping track, scratches on the inside of one of the maneuver gear's side plates- by his estimation it's been around ten months since he was plucked from the metaphorical chess board back home and dumped unceremoniously onto the literal playing field that'd greeted him back in his very first Liminal Space.] Hard to tell.

[He sounds a little annoyed that something as basic as the passage of time eludes them with how chaotic the Jaunts are the nature of Liminal Space itself... But it's mostly token aggravation by this point. Not much he can do about it.]

And as far as the dungeons, I haven't seen one myself, I've only heard that they're different for everyone... Except that they're all shitty. That seems to be a running theme. Sounds like your experience fits that pattern, at least.

[Y...ay.]

Was it the same place both times?
