That prison had some new people in it. If you weren't expecting to hear this, don't panic - as the locals might say, it's a feature, not a bug. Everyone else, help them settle in some? This has to be at least twice as disorienting as usual.

While I'm here, is there anyone around who's any good at bomb disposal?

Well, the Partition does. It's basically the nuclear option, and I'm pretty sure giving the Defenders an excuse to set it off would count as not doing... whatever it is we're here to do. [Look, he knows what he's here to do right now, but that's not why the Trumps dumped everyone here to begin with.]

We're working on how to get in there and deal with it before they decide everything's gone to hell enough to detonate it. Hiroshima's still in my country's living memory. I'd really rather not see that in person.

Remy's always been pretty good at breaking one kind of gadget or another. But it wouldn't be my first choice.

Getting in, though. That's another story. Remy do that for you, no problem.

Breaking it would not be the best plan, no. We're working on a plan to get in - you'd be welcome to help.

I can give you exact directions to the location of the Bomb if you think you can get in safely.

Great idea, except there's no guarantee we could get whoever's doing the disarming into Liminal Space, and I at least can't do portals. I don't know if anyone here can.

I might not be so good with bombs. But the safe hasn't been invented that could keep me out.

As for the other, the next time we get a vacation, I can do my best to teach you. Getting back to the day job would be a relief, I think.

I know of the bomb in question and I know it's location. It is too large to move from its current location but it very much a threat where it is and with whom has control over it. As hectic as things have been lately, I am grateful it has not already been used.

That said, I would rather avoid a frontal assault on the Partition--I do not think it would end well. [In fact, he knows it wouldn't.] I do not know how to dispose of the Bomb safely on my own but if someone else knew of the proper manner I could reveal its exact location or someone could teach me and I could go back in to dispose of it myself.

[Which he would honestly prefer if simply because he does not wish to endanger anyone else.]

Would that work if we find someone who's infiltrating and can do it?

I can open portals and I think I might be able to disarm this particular bomb? Given the setting and all.

But to keep the Defenders off our backs I have another suggestion.

My brother and I sort of hitchhiked on one of those Recognisers a while ago. Pretty sure we could do it again and we might be able to hijack it to lure the Defenders out of the Partition, or at least some of them. If we coordinate it with those Miner rebels I've been hearing rumors about, we could make enough of a distraction to make sure we can disarm the bomb without the wrong person coming in at the wrong time.

If there's a group forming to keep the Defenders busy, I want in.

Like that guy said, we should think about coordinating with the people commandeering the Recognizers. I don't know shit about those [Aside from almost being blown up by one.....] but I can handle operations on the ground.

Good. This is not the kind of combat situation I'm equipped to wrangle.

Back home it was preferable to avoid combat altogether, but it almost never worked out that way.

We'll need something big to draw them out, whether it's the bombs from the Recognizer or something else for us to deploy separate from that- if it looks like it's not their problem there's a change they could tighten the interior security and cut themselves off like they did before.

Drawing them out's preferable, but we don't want to hurt anyone else, either. That'd only give them cause to come after us on top of the Defenders.

Is there somewhere that hasn't really been explored yet? Dropping bombs should be our last resort anyway, we don't want to piss off Green Team by bombing something important whether we know it's there or not, but it's the safest way if we have to go that route.

[Possibly lose some old structures or definitely hurt people: the better choice is obvious.]

What I'm talking about is controlled chaos, something we can contain to minimize or eliminate casualties. I want a free Grid, not an empty one.

[He's very, very serious about this. The Defenders are one thing- word will likely be out soon about this faction and what it hopes to achieve and anyone not coming to their senses deserves to meet the business end of his blade or disc- but harming innocent programs is the last thing Levi wants.]

And as far as unknown structures I can't say for sure- exploring hasn't felt like much of a priority. But if there's anyone here with experience in digging shit up that's a damn good way to make themselves useful.
