Is anyone else...I dunno...really really kind of fed up with snow and cold and all that? And getting shadowed by weird folks in sunglasses and--

[ there's a little pause and some background mental chatter as Ambrose talks through things to himself. ]

Oh, hang on, just had a thought. A brainstorm. The folks-in-black investigating weird things...what if they had other weird things to investigate besides shapeshifters? Can we maybe go...somewhere else and do weird things to draw them away? So the folks up here can snowboard in peace and we can maybe skeedaddle to somewhere warm before we get yanked back to liminal.

What kind of things do you think they'd consider "weird"? Or at least strange enough to draw them away from this strange thing here?

[ It's kind of hard when dragons are normal in the world you come from, okay. Even though he's pretty sure they don't have those here. ]

Other sorts of monsters, more and weirder lights, unexplained sounds...the usual stuff that gets folks all tizzy-fied.

Well, it's slightly difficult for me to tell what the usual is.. I only recently discovered dragons aren't normal to most people we come across. [ For better or worse. ]

...oh, okay, yeah. I hear that, where I'm from people travel between dimensions via tornado and there's witches and stuff. But after Traveling a bit I've kinda figured out what rattles most folks' cages.

It. Doesn't take much, sadly.

At least some of the worlds we visited before had magic in them.

[ Not.. counting the weird animal transformations here, he's still not too sure what's up with those. ]

This world somehow manages to get by without that entirely.

Yeah, so...little stones can make big waves. We don't want to panic the civilians, just confuse the shady folks.

So we have to make sure that no matter what we do, the regular people here won't catch onto it, right?
