Psychic Post - The Newb has some Questions

[It's a bit odd putting his thoughts out on the network without something direct to reply to, but Lyall is giving it a go.]

Ah. Forgive me, I'm afraid I'm a bit new here, but I had some questions and I'm hoping someone might have answers... this seemed the easiest way to seek them out, without having to hunt people down individually. Especially as I don't know very many of you all yet.

I'm Randolph Lyall. Biology teacher from New Jersey. Also werewolf from Victorian England. It's a bit complicated.

But most pressing, I suppose, is that I need to know just how much of these Jaunts stay with us... I remember everything, but I don't seem to be able to do everything. Not that I've tried everything yet, exactly, but certain things are a bit fuzzy. Like the mechanics of having one's faction changed. I understood it implicitly after it happened, but now it's all confusing, like it happened to somebody else. And I could do this intense focus work, KALI called it Constructive Enlightenment, but it's quite gone, now.

Also, someone mentioned lessons in Tarot, and seeing as they seem to be pretty important to all this... I'm definitely going to want those, if they're still available.

Lastly, how did it take me this long to realize we have Leonardo daVinci here?

It’s fairly simple, most of us pick it up sort of by osmosis within a few Jaunts. I can do it, Leonardo certainly can… I actually don’t think there’s a maintained list for that.

Oh, sorry-- I suppose he hasn't really gotten around much to meet a lot of other people. He's my--

[He pauses, tries to think of a better way to say it that doesn't sound childish, snooty, or stupid. And to hope that the people on this network are open-minded. He winds up with the simplest:]

--my boyfriend. He's from my home world, we came here together.

That’s… well, I’m not sure I’d call it “nice” since this whole Traveler thing is… [ a hot mess of peril and anxiety about 85% of the time. ] complicated, but it’s good to have familiar people around. It can be helpful.

I'm going to stick with being selfish and be glad he's here with me. Besides, if I'd vanished on him, back home, I think he might have had a heart attack... this is better for us both.

It's certainly allr ight to be selfish then. No one from my world has turned up yet, but I've... formed close bonds. It's what we do, how we survive.
