... Perdonatemi, I have an announcement.

I am not sure anyone else is aware of this, but the payphone by the door can connect to the Trumps. Or at least, when I attempted to call a Trump, it went through. I am not sure if all the Trumps are available for a call or not. I have heard some of them are dead, so they are likely not, at least. In truth, I am not really sure why they are allowing us to speak to them, now. We should all proceed with caution.

Further... if anyone has information on any of the Trumps that appeared this past Jaunt - The Magician, going by ROSE; The Hermit, going by SAGE; and The Devil - please, share it. I am not well versed in the mystical meanings behind the Tarot, only the cards and their numbers. The Magician is one, The Hermit nine, and the Devil fifteen. While I cannot say I know much about The Hermit, I am aware of many aspects of SAGE, as I was a Crypto this past Jaunt. I... I can tell you what little I know about him, if it would help.

... lastly, if anyone was Marked and feels comfortable coming forward with that information, I would be much obliged to hear it. Private or public, it does not concern me; I shall not come forward with that information unless you are comfortable providing it publicly. With so many Trumps amongst us, I cannot believe any of them would leave empty-handed, as it were.

[Shuu's "voice" is unmistakable as belonging the Crypto who'd been known as Isa. But there's no one among the Travelers who matches Isa's appearance, which may puzzle anyone who's never met Shuu before.]

I was marked by SAGE.

Furthermore, I was also a Crypto this past Jaunt. In fact, I was the Crypto who witnessed the Devil and Lovers' attack on SAGE. What the Lovers had to say to SAGE during that incident is...interesting. Their exact words were: "We’re sorry, Ix. But I can’t let you continue like this -- and I care too much to take you out of the game the other way." Draw whatever conclusions you wish.

I am available to answer any questions about the Cryptos, SAGE, and the attack.

I do not like the idea of this "game" of theirs. It worries me.

It worries me as well, as does the fact that SAGE apparently deviated from the game for some private purpose. What was he attempting to accomplish in the Grid? Why did it move the Lovers and the Devil to such drastic action?

That, I am unsure of. The Hermit clearly did not seem upset by it - did he not mention that he would return eventually?

Indeed. And he seemed quite sure of his ability to return. Perhaps the Cryptos' intervention was never needed, and he was merely biding his time.

Perhaps... but the Magician sped up the timeline. She wanted him out of the Grid now.

So I can assume, if she based an entire Jaunt upon reviving The Hermit.

Then it is quite possible that she was merely trying to rescue a friend and no more. Her knowing that reviving SAGE would be opposed would explain her urgency quite handily.

Still, as intriguing as ROSE's motives are, they do not explain another key issue: what exactly it was that SAGE was doing, to spook other Trumps so much.
