For those who joined us last time we were in Liminal Space, that was a Jaunt. We go in, blend in as well as we can [and some irritation bleeds into her "voice" because THAT didn't happen] do whatever we're supposed to do, and get called back here. To "help" with the investigation, some of us think we're locals of that world for the duration of the Jaunt. Not all Jaunts will be like this, so be ready for anything when we have another one. But the basics are the same-- do what you can, don't give up.

For those who just joined us, you'll know what I'm talking about sooner or later. It's probably best for now to get used to the psychic network, because it will be very useful to you during a Jaunt. Find a veteran traveler who can help. Except for Garrett-- he'd sooner insult you than give you the time of day.

Yes. Liminal Space looks different every time you come back here after a Jaunt. ... And it's almost always surreal.

[Surreal's one way of putting it.] Well, I assume... Liminal Space happens after every Jaunt? So there's no chance of being confused if it's one or the other... right?

It depends. If we fail in a Jaunt, we get pulled straight into Space, and then into another jaunt. If the portal to Liminal Space is just open and waiting for us, then we've succeeded.

If there are things like "success" and "failure" in the first place, you'd think they could give us more information at the start....

If we'd been given more information from the start, then we'd have avoided everything, and it'd be too easy. The Trumps aren't interested in making it easy.

They throw you into something you don't know, take away some abilities, power you down, and command you to jump through hoops for them. Information will never be given to you from the start, otherwise you're not an investigator. You're just clean-up.

Sometimes they're just one and the same. It's been going on a while-- if you want to see people who have been around longer than I have, look for Joscelin or Remy. They've been doing this the longest out of all of us.
