Filtered to pack

The mage who sired Casper is here.

He needs to die. And when he returns from the floor die again, as often as need be.

Don't engage him, just kill him. Don't let him talk or do anything, don't try to reason or ask him questions. Alert the pack when you find and attempt to kill him so you'll get back-up.

Be careful. He's a powerful mage and they are unpredictable and can alter anything. You never know what they may or may not be able to do.

[A short while after the feed was made, a full-sensory memory of what Casper's father looks, smells and sounds like is amended to it.]

...that bad, huh?

Look, worst-case scenario, I'm pretty apocalyptic myself.

Wouldn't be the first time someone's tried.

I don't know that I'm ever going to get used to that, calling people for a fight...

[Grump, grump, grump...]

It's not that easy for a guy like me to think of it that way.

[Lyall's voice is alarmed when he replies.]

No. Absolutely not. No one should be going in the Floor. If this person is dangerous, we lock him in a room with no doors and find someone who can lock portals down. We knock him out and tie him up.

We are not murderers.

We could always just beat him unconscious.
professorwolf: (frustrated)

[personal profile] professorwolf 2018-08-25 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
As long as we're not going out intentionally to murder someone.

There are worse alternatives than murder.

[Says the guy with fragmented memories of being sealed inside a playing card for ten thousand years.]

[personal profile] professorwolf 2018-08-27 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed, there can be. I still do not want us to murder anyone. That's what wild and uncivilized packs do, not any pack I lead.
chalicejoker: (BattleCloseup)

[personal profile] chalicejoker 2018-08-28 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
So I'll just beat him into unconsciousness, then.

I do not bloody care how powerful he supposedly is. We are not going to kill anyone. No one is able to get out of "anything", there will be at least one way and probably more to incapacitate this person without killing them.

[personal profile] professorwolf 2018-08-25 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Laughs, you could make the exact same argument against killing him, if he's so powerful that there's no way to contain him. There could be no way to kill him, either, and trying will only make him kill you, and everyone around you.

But I don't believe he's that powerful, and I do believe there are more than enough people in liminal space that we can stop him. If all else fails, I am a witch, and a very powerful one. Maybe I can bind him up with elementals or something.

Most of us have our own magic here, Laughs, we're not limited to biting and scratching. And liminal space is not your world, there are rules here he doesn't know about that can probably counter some of the things he can do.

You appear to be the only one I need to tell, but yes, I am. If he finds Casper and attempts to hurt him, or you, then you may do what you need to, but we are not to attack anyone unprovoked.

I will be happy to help you protect Casper, if the need arises.

There are many of us here who could very well be more powerful. Unprovoked murder may draw repercussions from the Arcana.
vorenado: (distraction)

[personal profile] vorenado 2018-08-25 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
We have no right or reason to take any action unless he provokes it, and out response must reflect that offense. If this was The Junkyard and he proved himself a threat, then he would be devoured, but this is not The Junkyard, nor is this your world. We must adjust our behavior.
vorenado: (old habits die hard)

[personal profile] vorenado 2018-09-03 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, when something like this occurs it's not just you or the pack's decision. What we do will affect the whole of liminal space and if something goes wrong than we will be the ones who are held accountable for acting out of turn, especially if we act on words alone. Preemptive strikes are not an option we have at our disposal, even if they are warranted as you say.

I rather think not, darling.

What's gotten you so riled up?
