Portal Malfunction [Jauntside, shortly after Jaunt start]

Ah. Um. Lyall here, infiltrating as the biology professor here, but I'm also myself. If anyone has any questions about this place, as I am also a local, I can do my best to answer them. The biggest thing I suppose is that there's magic here, and the fae folk. Don't call them that, they get touchy.

Also, I need to ask, is anyone else having trouble opening a portal to liminal space? I, er, I can't seem to get in.

If anyone would be so kind as to stop by my classroom and see if I can use their portal, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah, I can't get in either. It's definitely a half-infiltrating thing. A lot of our liminally created stuff is gonna be inaccessible too, but if it's like Harrogate we'll get it back after the Jaunt.

That... that's going to be a problem. The full moon is in less than a week. I'm a werewolf here as well, and I have... facilities for that, but I'm afraid I might be stronger than what I have here to hold me. Fae-bred werewolves are not the same as undead werewolves.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh. And, uh, I'm a little off-balance myself. Vampires in this world aren't exactly like the ones back home. Same with... whatever I'm supposed to be now.

So does this mean the Arcana put the Gentry here on the same level as eldritch horrors, if they're locking liminal space down again?

Possibly? Or that one or the other of them is bad enough to lock liminal down and the other's worse.

Beautiful. We'll have to watch our steps, I suppose. And try not to give away too much, so they don't try to get into anything they shouldn't, whether or not they manage it.

I can imagine it. I think I can recognize sarcasm even if I can't hear it in your voice.

And some of us aren't too bad at subtlety. It's just... us as a group that gets into trouble, I suppose.
