Naoya's overlay is the Director, I figured he might be able to provide more insight into what was going on with the rapid changes.

Ghost? What do you mean by that term?

He might, at that. If the social norms here are similar to this era in my world, you can probably just get away with a kiss at the end of the evening. It’s up to you if that’s worth it.

And 'tis hard to 'ghost' when I have to see him on a near daily basis until this damnable Jaunt ends.

Okay. You said you were at a restaurant, right? Two things: try and pay for your own meal - if the waiter asks, you want separate bills - and if he offers to walk you home, tell him you appreciate the offer, but decline.
