We seem to have found ourselves in the Afterlife, or some form of it. But where precisely, I don't know. Angels and demons in the same place... it's unheard of, in the stories of my time.

For those new Travelers, welcome to your first Jaunt. I am sorry it is not more hospitable... if anyone needs better clothes or any supplies, I would be happy to assist, if only I can manage to disperse this crowd-- Dio mio, this crowd! This is ridiculous!

I am safe. This crowd is more interested in my artwork than in me, thankfully.

... oh! Well, I don't look at myself too negatively... other than the fact that I am a coward at the best of times. I merely look upon my paintings with a critical eye because they are not completely accurate to real life.

No-one's paintings are! That's part of why we invented cameras... but yeah. I get it's easy t' see what you're doin' wrong. Happens to me, too.

Seriously, though. They are good.

But the entire point is to make our paintings, sculptures, all works of art authentic to real life, no matter how fantastical the subject might be. Inaccuracy is a failure on the part of the artist.

[Don't ask how he felt about modern art, okay.]

Eh... What you're callin' 'inaccurate' is still a hell of a lot better than what most folks are callin' 'inaccurate'.

[Never mind the fact that something being imperfect or fragile can be what makes it more interesting or precious...]
