We seem to have found ourselves in the Afterlife, or some form of it. But where precisely, I don't know. Angels and demons in the same place... it's unheard of, in the stories of my time.

For those new Travelers, welcome to your first Jaunt. I am sorry it is not more hospitable... if anyone needs better clothes or any supplies, I would be happy to assist, if only I can manage to disperse this crowd-- Dio mio, this crowd! This is ridiculous!

... please, if anyone has found a quiet spot where I may hide, tell me? I am having a bit of trouble, here.

Yes, very. Though I should like to know more about this group to which we are assigned. The more we can fit in, the better.

Yeah, I've got nothing on that front, I barely understand the mythology. We don't-- angels are good, in theory, demons are bad, in theory. Beyond that I just... this is very Earthy, Leonardo, folks from elsewhere are gonna have a hard time with even the basics here.

Why would someone end up in a place like this?

Purgatory is a place meant for the redemption of souls. That is what I was taught, anyway... so perhaps angels, too, need to be redeemed, and demons as well. Though redemption may entirely depend upon Heaven or Hell's definition of it, in the case of the angels and demons.
